1970's and 1980's Exploration of the Marshall Mine

Exploration of the Marshall Mine property in modern times was begun in the 1970's. Initial work began as surface trenching activity in the quartz "blow-out" zone, a surface protusion hinting at the bounty below the ground. This quartz massive was delineated and trenching activity conducted with a bulldozer. Chip samples for assays were taken from four (4) trenches, and a report on the property written. Registered Geologist, Lloyd E. Frizzell, B.Sc., of Associated Geologists, 205 SW. "G" Street, Grants Pass, OR compiled the report.

Additional exploration work was conducted by the then owner of the property, searching for further extensions of the vein system. When the Rogue Trinity Gold LLC acquired the property, we were shown samples of a narrow, high grade quartz vein with visible gold streaking through the host quartz. This a BONANZA grade find if it is true.

This material is said to have been extracted from a different zone on the property, though it could be an extension of the same vein system, or stringers from the vein system deeper under ground. We have not indepently verified this find nor the location. But when we do, the selling price of this property will be significantly higher. A confirmed BONANZA grade property will NOT be sold for the current price.

Rogue Trinity Gold's 2009 Exploration Activity, Assay Description and Results

In the fall of 2009, RTG conducted its initial exploration. Our goal was to produce results confirming the geologist's reported findings. Our work confirmed most of those results and were focused on the former Trench 2 and 3 areas. We also cut a new Trench 1 west of Trenches 2 and 3. From these trenches, a series of chip samples were taken by Cecil Conner, Rogue Minerals' professional hard rock miner. Each bag was uniquely numbered and logged to identify its source and the material enclosed. 15 representative material samples were taken, 1 from across each identified zone, plus 5 grab samples of materials from areas of particular interest. A total of 20 bags, each containing on average 5.5 lbs. of sample material were sent to Norris Lab in Montana. Gold and Silver results of the assays are displayed along with the zone characteristics. The Assay Report and Log Sheet are at the links below:
